How did we get to April already? This has been a great year so far and I can’t believe how quickly it has gone by! We have a lot to get accomplished in the next few weeks, so please have your child at school!
Important Information……
This month, your child will take state assessments in reading and math for the first time! We are working hard to get prepared for these. I always tell the students not to worry about them, but to do their best! Please make sure they get a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast prior to taking these tests! I have stressed to the students the importance of attending school on time on these testing days as any make up testing takes away from learning and activities in the classroom.
April 4th and 6th – ELA Reading State Assessments
April 14th – NO SCHOOL
April 18th and 20th – Math State Assessments
April 21st – Day at the Farm (at the fairgrounds….please return the hot pink lunch form)
May 2nd – Field Day (May 4th – Rainout date)
May 17th – Last day of school (half day)
